Crüxt and Öyre strode along the wall behind the Templar that lined its perimeter to defend their home from the great horde that threatened it.  “Öyre, what is the plan, I don’t see any way we can hold such a long front.”

“The plan is to try to hold it, and keep them out of the city.  We will make them pay dearly for each centimeter of ground,” proclaimed Öyre.

“I have no doubt of that, what I am concerned about is what happens when they fully exploit the breach?” inquired Crüxt. Continue reading

Crüxt stood up in his stirrups and gazed upon the glorious view he was afforded.  The ancient Templar Holt, commonly known as the Holt, was truly a humungous castle of unimaginable proportions.  The fortified area itself easily covered the same area as most major cities.  Behind its walls was the largest army of Templar gathered to date, over ten thousand men strong.  However, the horde they faced easily numbered in the hundreds of millions.

Crüxt stood in his stirrups to give his mace more room to swing.  It came crashing down into a brace of goblins, sending them flying as he readied to send a second group after them.  To his left and right other knights struck those around them with all manner of weaponry to clear a path onto the plains.  Casualties were inevitable as they fought their way through the sea of green, as the salmon that swims upstream.
