Flight of the Templar

Part one of the story takes place 10 years prior to the prologue.

Where once the Templar numbered in the hundreds of thousands, now only a fraction remain.  While making a valiant effort to stand against the tide of darkness, they are defeated, and forced to flee before it, as it is with the rest of their world.  Only a few continue to resist as they flee south, in hopes of linking up with other forces…but it is already too late.

Welcome fellow Templar to the world of Altera, a vast land filled with riches, fame, and adventure.  But we care not for that.

We Templar are here to learn our history, our past, of heroes long gone, and those still here.  I am your humble guide, for now you may call me Trine.  Our story revolves around a small band of warriors, caught in events larger than themselves, larger than our world, and decided to do something about it.
